Great to be in Marion County this morning at Yellville-Summit High School to sit down with district officials and discuss COVID’s impact on the schools, educators and families in this community. Hearing directly from administrators and teachers about their needs and experiences is invaluable to ensure they have adequate support, resources and flexibility. I know rural schools just like this all across Arkansas have faced similar obstacles while making the best of a difficult situation to help be sure our kids are learning, growing and developing. It’s been a real team effort and I can’t thank them all enough for the tough job they’ve done so well under pressure. I am looking forward to using their feedback and finding more ways to assist in their goal to impart to students the knowledge and skills that will serve them well into next year and beyond. #Arkansas #YellvilleArkansas #ServingAR
